Future GenProductised Passion Projects

Students don't just do extracurriculars. They ship artefacts.

Future Gen is our productised passion-project programme. Working products, GitHub repos, climate impact, revenue, user counts. The kind of artefacts admissions officers actually read.

01MATERIALSCLIMATE
Built by Takshil

Terra Create

Converting waste sea shells into a viable cement substitute for low-cost housing. A materials science research project that combined chemistry, sustainability, and structural engineering — built from scratch over two academic quarters.

Outcome

HKUST · Full Ride.

02AGENTIC AICOMMERCE
Built by Raghav

Agentic AI Brand

A clothing brand operationally run by AI agents — from product ideation to marketing to fulfilment. Built at the frontier of what was possible in 2024, this project demonstrated autonomous multi-agent coordination in a real commercial context.

Outcome

Frontier-of-2026 narrative.

03ENGINEERINGSUSTAINABILITY
Built by Shivansh

Spark Drive

EV retrofitting platform for vintage cars, preserving character while electrifying the drivetrain. A full engineering project — from motor selection to battery management to chassis integration — documented as a technical portfolio.

Outcome

Caltech.

Methodology

How we build a Future Gen project.

Q1

Step 01

Discovery

We map the student's genuine interests, skills, and intellectual obsessions. No forced topics. The project must be something they'd build anyway.

Q2

Step 02

Build

Structured weekly sessions. Prototypes, experiments, code commits, research drafts. We hold the student accountable to a build cadence.

Q3

Step 03

Ship

The artefact goes live — a GitHub repo, a published paper, a working product, a climate impact report. Something real, not a slide deck.

Q4

Step 04

Document & Apply

We help the student articulate what they built, why it matters, and what it says about who they are. This becomes the spine of their application.

Apply

Apply for Future Gen.

Limited cohort. Acceptance by application.

Applications reviewed on a rolling basis. We accept a small cohort each quarter.
